I love it! I had the same issue with cake filling while I was making RC Lewis' birthday cake 2 years ago. (Ask her about it sometime; it was great fun!) I did learn something that day. Make sure you make a dam of icing around the perimeter of the bottom cake and then put the filling inside. The top cake will stick a little better on the cake and the filling won't ooze out of every cake orifice possible :)
I can't bake cakes worth a damn-- even from a cake box. The stupid things always stick to the pans, even when I coat them with flour and they end up breaking when I try to take them out.How exactly did you manage that anyway? I didn't see YOU flouring any pans!I suppose there's also something to be said for the fact that you're baking at sea level... stupid high altitude. Lol.
Jasmine, you have to grease the pans to get them out. Not flour! You can use butter or margarine. As for them breaking? Too moist? or too dry?
