I took a week off from writing at home and it got a lot better. BUT the biggest life saver (hand saver?) was stopping using my phone as anything other than a phone. Previously I had been using it as an ebook and a web device. As soon as I took that week off and quit with the phone, my pain decreased dramatically and became generally bearable.

Getting up and going for a brief walk every 30 mins or so helps a lot as well.Eviehttp://revangeline.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3354434714694727841.post-89639797799606443622012-09-10T13:40:41.948-07:002012-09-10T13:40:41.948-07:00It was implied. ;) It was implied. ;) Teehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18277378168473581160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3354434714694727841.post-65454494193903683702012-09-10T13:30:32.815-07:002012-09-10T13:30:32.815-07:00"Oh, Jobo. You could lie on a sofa dictating like the late Barbara Cartland (well, not like her now, like her when alive). That would rest your hands. If you keep doing that then every now will be what you focus on, which it is anyway.

Take a break. Tell your employr you have a hand problem - most will not want the litigation that goes with RSI and will help in some way. The pain could be referred or local - you need to find out. I put my trust in physiotherapists before doctors with stuff like that - they'll do tests to see if it is local or referred.

Focus on your problem and work at it until you become almost friends with it. Know it inside out and then you will be able to deal with it....

Strive to move into that better place all the time by embracing the shit because shit happens... xxAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
